Limited Apps in the Store
Why is there a limitation on apps available in the Store vs the Store on Windows 10? Seems very random on what is available. Would love wunderlist, kindle, audible, MLB At Bat...

The Build 2016 talk:
B854 HoloLens: Building UWP 2D Apps for Microsoft HoloLensat the about the 38 min mark talks about the store submission steps as it relates to UWP HoloLens apps.
The important relevant points that would explain the limited number of apps in the store are:
- developer decides if a Universal app appears on the HoloLens Store
- the new Holographic platform option is unchecked by default
- developer may have checked "Let Microsoft decide whether to make this app available to any future device families"
- for those apps that have "Let Microsoft decide... "checked, Microsoft can test and put on HoloLens store at its discretion.
So based on that I would guess that:
- some developers haven't opted into future platforms by default and would need/want to test how their app behaves on HoloLens first then give permission
- for those that did opt in, there may be a delay in the time for Microsoft to test and move apps into the store
- also some apps may not have a responsive layout or contain layout choices and other issues that might not look good or work well on the HoloLens which has an effective pixel target size of 853 x 480 for displaying UWP 2D apps.
That said, it typically doesn't take much at all to get an existing UWP app to run on HoloLens, so I would expect as more HoloLens devices get out there more developers take the steps to configure the store settings for their apps so that they appear in the HoloLens store.
