Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Primitive Shared Shooter - just for fun

I'll be blogging about this later and will update this post. I'm fortunate enough to have a few HoloLens devices due to my company projects, and I have the luxury of working on whatever fun games and experiences I want in my spare time, you know, for science =)

Wanted to share to see if there were any questions or suggestions. It's not too fancy yet, but here are the base features:

  1. 1v1 shooter w/ clicker accessory - using shared world anchors and code bits from the Microsoft 240 course, still using old sharing service for now, want to port to UNET when I get time
  2. spatial bits - shoot surfaces, hide behind things, spatial audio, etc
  3. Simple shield via manipulation gesture to add a little strategy for this first version
  4. Basic score board so we can have a little competition

The project is several months old and I finally got a good recording on Christmas Eve 2017, so here it is, hope to hear from some folks!
