Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Does Anyone Have The Time To Run Our App On Their HoloLens?

We would like to publish our app onto the app store, but would prefer to see how the latest features look on the HoloLens, rather than the emulator.

Answers

  • What is it you are wanting? Actual user feedback or to just check if it works on the hololens differently than on the simulator?

I'll give your app a run if you make it somehow interesting. Right now, I'm only interested enough to write this comment.

My app didn't work very well on the simulator, but works pretty nicely on the hololens. But my app is voice driven and the voice features on the hololens are much better than on the dev machines I use to run the simulator.

So ... if your app works nicely in the simulator, it will likely work fine on the hololens, or rather work as you coded it to work. Hopefully that is nicely.

  • Hey, thanks for reaching out. So I'm trying to see how the latest features of the app run on the HoloLens. New features were added several months ago and I just want to see how well it works. Are you able to help with this?

  • So are you wanting the app to be run and a mixed reality recording taken ...

  • Yes, if possible.
