MR Doors in Unity?

edited April 2018 in Q&A and Discussions

Using Unity and an immersive headset:
What's the best way to have a door with a hinge? Like the player can grab a doorknob and open the door on a hinge. Or even just a sliding door? Like, just limiting movement of a grabbed object to one axis? (I would also use this to pull down a ladder from a fire escape.)

Thanks!

I tried using a hinge joint (built into Unity) and the door still just acted as if it was grabbed by the controller, but when I let go, the door immediately snaps back to it's original position.
    Any ideas? Thanks!!
