Having trouble with automatic updates?

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate our HoloLens RS4 Preview and providing valuable feedback as we drive to our final build.

We’ve received reports that some devices are not being automatically updated from our initial preview build (10.0.17123.1004). You can find out if you’re running this build by going to Settings > System > About and looking for the OS Build value. If you are running this build, then we would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes and get-up-to-date by following the instructions for staying up-to-date.

Confirm that you're registered for Windows Insider Fast flights by checking Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program and then click the Check for updates button in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

After you successfully update, you should be running our latest build (10.0.17134.1008). Again, you can check the version number of the OS you’re running Settings > System > About and look for the OS Build.

If you are unable to update from 10.0.17123.1004, then please file feedback by following the provide feedback and report issues instructions so that we can debug and address the root cause. You can also reach us for help by posting in this very forum category.
