Windows Mixed Reality Controller not tracking

edited May 2018 in Troubleshooting

My left controller will turn on and connect allowing me to use the buttons but the lights will not turn on bright enough to be tracked by the headset. While my right controller works just fine. I noticed this problem after updating to the April 2018 Windows update. Prior to the update both controllers worked great. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried replace the battery for the left one? Seems like the battery level gets low.

A solution that worked for me was to change from onboard bluetooth, to a USB-adapter (an asus usb-bt400 in my case).
Didn't work at first! I had to munually reinstall the drivers for the headset - Hololenssensor.inf. In my case the driver named HololensSensors_10.0.16299.1042.

I hope this helps somebody out there since I fought this problem for weeks, trying every solution known to Goggle..
