As of May 2018, the docs don't seem to include any information on how to customize the background audio in a custom home environment.
Is there any way to do this currently?
Unfortunately the realistic acoustics and spatial sound directionality provided for the WMR Cliff House and Sky Loft environments are customized to those environments using acoustic parameters from complex sound wave propagation simulations (baked on large clusters of CPUs) and then applied in real time. We do not have a way for UGC to take advantage of that technology... yet. Stay tuned. In the meantime, UGCs will get a standard room model applied to them so at least they do not sound completely off.

Just for the record, I'd be happy with any form basic 3D audio positioning mixing, no fancy spatialization required. But I suspect your team wants to "do it right" the first time.
