combining '2D' and 3D views in one

Hi,

I would like to establish a view comparable with Microsoft Layout, where there is a more '2D' like view to choose an item, combined with a holographic view of the actual item (see https://store-images.s-microsoft.com/image/apps.18182.14366825788990529.17dc519b-a821-4748-a163-db3564567b22.db0e2dd1-03d6-4858-8c39-1120becd1a73?w=1399&h=739&q=60 for an example).

Should this be done entirely in Unity 3D, or is it a mix of UWP and Unity 3D (and if so, how can you display both at once?).

Many thanks in advance for the help!
