UWP controls in Unity

I am building a Unity app for the HoloLens. The objective is to display a 3D model and interact with it. In this 3D workspace I want to have a number of 2D windows that display properties and lists. Naively I thought I could simply mix UWP controls such as the ListView and the GridView in the same app. Cannot be done apparently. So I am looking for Unity assets that can used to create UWP-like windows to do things like list the names, status and description of objects in the 3D model. Nothing like this seems to exist so I am starting to build my own. This has to be the hard way of doing things. What am I missing?
