Problems with Bluetooth adapter

Hello, i recently bought a mixed reality headset and motion controllers and i also needed to buy an external bluetooth adapter to get the motion controllers to work.

This is the name of the bluetooth adapter i got: Bluetooth USB Adapter CSR 4.0 USB Dongle Bluetooth Receiver Transfer Wireless Adapter for Laptop PC Support Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP,Mouse and Keyboard,Headset

Here is a link to the page i got it off of:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0775YF36R/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have tried pairing my controllers through the adapters own interface with each time saying the it fails to connect, yet they still show up in the adapters connected device. As well, I do not have a bluetooth toggle switch either even with the adapter plugged in and with updated drivers.

I have tried force updating drivers, uninstalling and the reinstalling the device as well with no luck. Any info to help fix the problem would help. If my adapter is not supported, I would appreciated suggestions on a better adapter that is supported. Thank you!

Good news within a little bit of searching I figured out the soultion.

You have to go to your device manager>universal serial bus controllers> select the device> right click and update drivers> Browse my computer for software>Let me pick from an available list of drivers> select generic bluetooth adapter and you are all set!
