Spatial Mapping, Scanning in larger locations

Hello.
I've completed a scan and i saved the scan into an Obj file, but it is like the scan has a limit.
Is it possible to scan larger areas (100 square meters+), and how?
We have been messing around with the Spatial Mapping Observer script,and it has helped us extending by going from f.ex 10,10,10 to 30,30,30, and while it does make us able to scan further, it's like it forgets some parts that are being scanned on the way.
