detecting if anything is being held

I've looked in InputManager and FocusManager for a way of easily determining if anything is being held, focused, etc. I see that you can check each of the pointers (Gaze, Handheld Controllers) to see if each is focused on something.

I'd like something like:
InputManager.Instance.heldObjects.Count == 0
FocusManager.Instance.focusedObjects.Count == 0

It looks like I don't have access to FocusManager's pointer List so I may not be able to iterate over the pointers to check if any of them are pointing at anything.

Will I have to manually track this by responding to the Focus/Held/etc. events and tracking them?
