Hello everyone.

We have decided to phase out the Mixed Reality Forums over the next few months in favor of other ways to connect with us.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

The plan between now and the beginning of May is to clean up old, unanswered questions that are no longer relevant. The forums will remain open and usable.

On May 1st we will be locking the forums to new posts and replies. They will remain available for another three months for the purposes of searching them, and then they will be closed altogether on August 1st.

So, where does that leave our awesome community to ask questions? Well, there are a few places we want to engage with you. For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality. If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers. Tagalong canvas changes scale after relocation/movement/re-opening


I have a game thingy that resets after it's completed so it can be played again. I start the game with a tutorial sequence in the form of a tagalong canvas with some information, this sequence will be loaded initially.

Upon opening the game the tutorial canvas has the size that I gave it, which is great, but after the game resets and the tutorial canvas opens again for the newly loaded game the size of the canvas varies from extremely small to a little bit smaller to size it should be.

A friend of mine had the same problem and told me it was because the user physically moves during the game and once the game 'restarts' the camera origin (or whatever) is further away.

-) Open canvas with tagalong
-) Do your thing and close it
-) Move to paris
-) Reopen the canvas
-) The canvas is weirdly small yet I want it to be the size I defined in the editor

Does anyone know about this issue?

    fix: Use the 'SimpleTagAlong' script instead of the normal TagAlong script.
