Spatial Understanding of a large room

I am trying to map a large (warehouse like) room with spatial understanding because it fills holes in walls and floor and makes the mesh smooth. I am able to map the entire area with spatial mapping, however, I am only able to map a very limited area with spatial understanding. This concern has been shown in this thread: https://forums.hololens.com/discussion/7097/holotoolkit-spatial-understanding-room-size-stuck-at-maximum-10x10-metres However, I don't think it has ever been resolved. How can I feed in the spatial mapping data collected from the SpatialMapping prefab into SpatialUnderstanding?
