Is it possible to move the USB and headphone jack in future Hololens deployments?

The location of the USB charger and headphone jacks are not conducive to effective usage of the Hololens. When plugging in the USB for charging, it feels like the headband strap might put excessive pressure on the cable. For the headphone jack, when using it while wearing the unit, the same issues arise from it's downward placement. Is it possible to move both connectors to either the vertical or top side (doesn't really matter if it's on the "band," on the power button side, or the top) for future releases?

I agree I bought an angle USB bracket to try and alleviate the pressure on the port. It's still not ideal though, and I can see the port probably getting worn out sooner than needed.

  • I'd suggest a strong USB design such as USB-C. This would also allow for faster charging.
