Hololens emulator under Visual Studio (update 3)

edited July 2016 in Questions And Answers

Hello all !

I am trying to emulate the Hololens with Visual Studio 3 but, although the Hololens Emulator is available in VS parameters, Windows.Graphics.Holographic and Windows.Perception.Spatial cannot be found.

I have tripled check the setup, repaired Visual Studio, etc. Anybody has any idea how I could get the emulator to work ?

Thanks !

  • Hi @rubanmauve,
Double-check that you have the latest HoloLens Emulator installed.

Sometimes, the proper files are not found when NuGet is turned off. Open NuGet settings in VS (Tools > NuGet Package Manager > Package Manager Settings) and verify that 'Allow NuGet to download missing package' and 'Automatically check for missing package during build in Visual Studio' options are both checked.

  • I have the same problem. Emulator installed and visible. NuGet settings as above. Still Windows.Graphics.Holographic and Windows.Perception.Spatial not found.
