Hello everyone.
The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.
There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.
The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.
For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.
If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.
And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

As many as you can produce! You're paying for it. It's yours to build on. No set expiration date (and they've promised software updates as the platform matures). That said, you'll presumably want to replace it with the commercial version once that comes out.

There are no limits to the number of apps you can develop with the development edition of HoloLens (other than your own time and imagination :-))
Please point me to the website you mentioned and we'll get it fixed.5

A few months back when Microsoft announce about development edition I saw on their website that development edition will be limit on only two apps. Is that right?
You are limited to buying only 2 headsets. But no there shouldn't be any limit to how many apps you create (other than memory space available on the device, but then you can always remove apps to add new ones).
