Hololens RGB Lag
in Discussion
Hi everyone, just received my Hololens today, and am tryng to figure out if anyone else has noticed that the white cursor (anything white and moving actually) splits into it's RGB channels when pannng from left to right, or up/down? Is this an issue with my specific Hololens color channels not synchronized or is it normal behaviour for the headset? I don't remember this behaviour from Build last year.

That's expected, each color is presented to the display in succession. Its most noticeable with fast moving / head-locked white objects. Its part of the reason why the reticle in RoboRaid consists of only red and blue primary colors

@andypixel There is a calibrate app in the Hololens setting. I would try running that. Otherwise, when I'm looking for it I can see a little bit of RGB lag if I'm looking for it, but I'm usually not focused on the cursor when I'm doing things on the HoloLens. Note I've never calibrated mine though, due to multiple people using it, I just restore it to much to calibrate it every time I use it.
Perfect, thanks guys. @thebanjomatic that reference link is what I needed. My mind is put at ease as it's not a defective headset.
