Holographic Icons

I've seen apps like fragments and others have holographic icons you can place in your space to start the application.

How does one create one for their app?

    This topic comes up fairly often. The 3D interactive live tile feature is not available at this time.

    @DavidKlineMS - I am hoping with the comment that this topic comes up often, that it is getting kind of high on the enhancements list for future HoloLens updates. I'm not asking, as I know you can't give that info, just an observation.

    Not available and not possible are two separate things entirely!

    But seriously on this note, what is the current thinking behind how this will be implemented. When you submit your app to the store, or embedded into the applications uwp manifest?
