Does buying Hololens in the states exempt it from warranty if used for development somewhere else?

edited August 2016 in Questions And Answers

I'm working at a video game company in Japan, and the CEO confronted me expressing interest in getting a hololens.

If my employer were to purchase one and have it shipped to my residence in the states (so I can pick it up and take it back here when I visit my family), would that void all warranty and support for it?

Thanks in advance for any info in this regard.

    Hello,

Your purchase of the HoloLens Development Edition will be subject to the Terms of Use and Sale here. All sales are final and non-refundable, and has no warranties. By purchasing you also agree to the software license here.

    Hope this helps,

    Vanessa

    Hello, Vanessa,
Thanks a ton for the prompt response.

I reviewed the documentation cited. "All sales are final and non-refundable, and has no warranties." acknowledged.

This answered my initial question. Thank you very much!

I've questions about getting firmware and sdk updates for it from Japan. I'll post that in a different section with a different tag.
