Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Am I not getting an order link because i havent paid $20/$99 as a developer?

Just went on my account at microsoft developer site. I see a payment registratino area there to pay $19 or $99.

Do i need to do that first to get an order link?

Can anyone who got a hololens ordered give feedback on this?

  • i should also mention i am wave 1

  • You just need to be patient. I know, easy for me to say, but eventually the buy link will show up and you'll be able to order it. The Hololens will ship a few days later, at least that was my experience. The thing is, I suspect some of Wave one won't get a purchase link until May or early June if the 3 month per wave metric holds.

thanks for following up on this. ok but did you pay them $19 or $99 to be a developer on your microsoft account

  • Microsoft dev accounts no longer cost anything. I hope you get your unit(s) soon. I agree the process isn't the most satisfying.

    Hello,
To _buy _a HoloLens Development Edition, no you don't need a dev center account. You'll need one if you wish to publish something to the store though :) If you need help with regards to your application, or just want a status update, do contact us here and we'll get back to you shortly.
