Ideas for my APPS
Hello,
My name is Ron and have I some experience with HTML, JavaScript and C.
I want to make two apps one with Santa and a Christmas scene. The other a flower garden which the user selects seeds, plants, etc. they have to nourish, weed and grow their garden in real time on a plot of land. Sadly I have no, not ta, none experience in graphical design. I am pretty sure I can write the code for this but the graphics intimidate me. Any advise, I am working in Unity right now.
Thanks

One way is to try your skills at creating content, which is indeed hard - but if you don't mind learning let us know - can offer more suggestions on that.
And then there is quite a large collection of free (or paid if you want and can afford) 3D content out there like TurboSquid or similar sites. These collection websites have ready and textured models for sale, but many also offer free ones - sure, they are not as good as the paid ones, but that is still better than nothing. If you plan to charge for your app, just make sure to check their licenses to be sure they allow that - many don't (if the models were free).
Other than that, some 3D skills will be needed to place and manipulate these models - and going with Unity is indeed the right way. Just be patient and don't give up - tutorials at MS and at other websites should be of great help. Also keep in mind that Unity is not limited to HoloLens so there is a lot of info on it out there, it just might need some adjustments for HoloLens.

Thanks much
FYI I am a 70 yr old retiree who still has some programming skills, just getting up to speed on Hololens and the myriad of development tools available. Not as quick as I used to be. The graphics site you mentioned will be another tool in my toolkit. No I have no ownership or intention on selling either of these projects and look forward to the youthful help in the forums.
Sincerely
Ron
