Better frontal camera?

Hi,

I'm experimentering with a feature that requires me to read quite small bar codes. Unfortunately the frontal camera on the hololens is to low res so the bars get blurred together. We've tried passing the images through filters and such but the problem is that the base image is to blurry with the small barcodes (bigger bar codes works fine).

Is there a new version of the Hololens coming soon? (I know, I know you can't say) or is there a way to connect a better webcam to the Hololens? The micro USB port doesn't seem to work as a USB hub.

  • Hi,

Have you tried to use different resolutions? (1408x792 or 2048x1152 for example)
