how to change the position in which an object rotates or moves

edited October 2016 in Questions And Answers

Hi, I tried creating a move function based off of the TapToPlaceParent script in holographic academy. The only difference is that instead of it being a gesture, its controlled by the voice commands "Move ITV" and "Place ITV". I tried it on the HoloLens and while it would move correctly, the point that was facing me and in the center of my vision was the bottom corner of the back wheel at some random angle, not the front face of the fehicle that I wanted to face me. I should note that I had to rotate the vehicle -90 degrees to get the front to face the camera. How can I make the front face 0 degrees and the mark that it moves for at the exact center of the vehicle instead of the back bottom corner of the model?

There are a few posts on the topic of origin or pivot point for models in unity.
You might start with this one and follow the links in that post and the posts it links to that will take you to a few others. If you still have a question on this after reading the five or so related posts please ask.
