Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

HoloLenses are Available in Boston for Testing

edited November 2016 in Discussion

Hey everyone,

My name's Alan, I'm a member of BostonAR,
a meetup group for Augmented / Mixed Reality in the Greater Boston Area.

It can be tough to develop for the HoloLens without access to the device, and we have a total of 5 HoloLens Development Kits for the community to borrow.

Please send an email to Alan@lorebooks.com to:

  • Test your application on a HoloLens
  • Borrow a HoloLens for an extended period of time
  • Demonstrate your product at the BostonAR monthly meetup
  • Find a job developing for the HoloLens
  • Find developers for the HoloLens
  • Find testers for your application

I'm also hiring developers interested in working on mixed reality literature,
and love helping other teams to test their products to make something people want.

Cheers,
AlanFoster

Wow! this is a fantastic idea!

I know many developers who'd love to get a HoloLens developer kit but the $3000 price tag isn't accessible.

    Regards,

    Shane
