Is your emulator version 10.0.14393 (the anniversary edition) and your operating system is a previous version?

I found a network adapter for windows phone that was not enabled. Once it was enabled, then the emulator started working. To figure this out, installed previous version of the emulator which gave more information on the error than newest version gives.
