Is there a compass sensor in the Hololens?

Here is more detail of why I am asking:

If I am standing outdoors looking at a bearing of 325 degrees, could I use the APIs in the Hololens to find the compass bearing of what I am glancing at so that I could then say "what is the lat/long 3 miles from me"?

If I turned and glanced at 345 degrees, I could say again "what is the lat/long 3 miles from me" and have it recalculate.

    Hi Kevin,

HoloLens is designed for indoor usage.
Are you trying to recognize an object in the holographic frame?

    Thanks!

There's no gps, as far as I know, so a compass/magnetometer probably wouldn't help in this scenario.

While there's probably a magnetometer in the IMU, this isn't listed as part of the accessible hardware in the documentation.

Cool idea, though. Kindof google glassish.
