Hello everyone.

We have decided to phase out the Mixed Reality Forums over the next few months in favor of other ways to connect with us.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

The plan between now and the beginning of May is to clean up old, unanswered questions that are no longer relevant. The forums will remain open and usable.

On May 1st we will be locking the forums to new posts and replies. They will remain available for another three months for the purposes of searching them, and then they will be closed altogether on August 1st.

So, where does that leave our awesome community to ask questions? Well, there are a few places we want to engage with you. For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality. If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers. And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Your status is pending, as we are currently only shipping to the United States and Canada

I just got a mail from the HoloLens team saying:
_ Thank you for your interest in Microsoft HoloLens! We have reviewed your application and your status is pending, as we are currently only shipping to the United States and Canada. It’s been exciting to see international interest and we look forward to expanding our geographic reach over time. _
Now my point is:
if you just decided that all the work I'm actually doing as founder of www.nuiworld.com , @HoloLensDevs on twitter and HoloLens Developer Worldwide on Facebook and linked is in not enough to help the holographic community to grow and to get access to a paid HL dev kit then, I ask excuse and please do not consider this post.
On the other hand, when in applied to preorder the dev kit I filled the form saying that I'm in the US. So if you didn't accepted my subscription just because I live outside the US I kindly ask to review my request because I will give you a real shipment address inside the US where to deliver the kit. I will care of personally take a flight to reach the address I gave.

  • +1... I actually applied twice, and only got one "pending", no answer to the other one yet. For my second application, I selected USA as I have a US address to ship to. I've also informed the HoloLens team about this.

  • Same for me (Emerging Experience MVP)... we are a few from Europe and highly commited in MPC/NUI willing to jump into the future with HoloLens
