The Packaging an app for HoloLens section of the documentation refers to the same page that you reference, so it would seem safe to assume that for now, no there is not any additional published guidance for creating icons specific to HoloLens applications besides the more general Windows 10 MSDN guidance. (Besides the mention of several "required" image assets mentioned on the Packaging guidance.)
