Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Please Microsoft, a Roadmap for Holographic Shell on HoloLens

I would be grateful if Microsoft could share any information with the Developer Community on the roadmap for the HoloLens Holographic Shell and general OS feature plans. There is no indication about when any Creator's Update content will be delivered or when features like those shown at Build 2016 will become available (e.g. Pulling a 3D object out of Edge from Remix3D and placing it in the holographic world).  I've selected the option to receive Insider Updates, but none have been released and with the Creator's Update a few months away now, it would be extremely helpful to know what will change on HoloLens.

Basic Windows 10 features like notifications, additional settings, bookmark sync, pausing/switching running (3rd party) apps, access to Space settings, etc. would all be helpful to know. Understanding future plans for Skype (e.g. use along other running apps), 3D visualization of data in Excel, etc. would also be extremely helpful.

Understanding that plans change and not all planned features will make it, getting some visibility into the roadmap would be helpful and perhaps inspiring to Developers.
