Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

A bit of an odd stance, but let's see:

1.) Cost will reduce, allowing more powerful hardware to be sold at the same price (volume component pricing). Of course, as time goes on, the tech will be finer tuned. Though, I don't expect it to go fully mainstream until the unit becomes slimmer.

2.) A stripper, as in an adult dancer? If that is what the private company asks for price wise, yes. I'm sure the marketplace/windows store has policies regarding adult and other such matter, but there may be unofficial market places. Will it go this route? Only the market will tell.

3.) Again, if that is what the private (as in, non-Microsoft) company, wants, then yes, though only if the consumer wants to spend the money of course.

4.) I'm sure they're trying to be first to a new market, what company wouldn't? However, the app developers have the rights to the app, so nothing says it has to be Hololens only.

5.) Or not, Hololens apps encourage more moving around than watching TV.

6.) Why would there be brain problems? Seriously, in all honesty, that is a very odd question.

7.) The parents can (possibly) work cooperatively with their kids using the Hololens for teaching. Holograms can be shared.

The Hololens is just another way for people to see and interact with computers. Most of your questions are based on results of general market theory and are not really linked to the Hololens specifically.
