Object recognition with Hololens and Vuforia

Hi there!
I need to recognize objects like boxes but I really have no idea how.
By recognizing boxes, I meant: recognizing the shape and counting the same boxes of the same size.
My questions so far are:

  • Do I need to have a data set of boxes?
    Data set maybe useful if I have to recognize specific boxes with it's specific design.

  • Where do I start?

  • Is Vuforia enough to this this recognition with the Hololens?
