Virtual Keyboard config

Hi there,
My hololens app was created using Unity and works perfectly fine. However, I'm not very happy regarding UX for adding one useless screen between the user clicking on the input text field on the canvas and the virtual keyboard pop up.
Is there any way to remove this useless intermediary screen that shows 1 input field that I have to click again to insert my login or password and click also on "submit" for the input to go back to Unity?

    Curious if anyone else has a solution as well.

    We are contemplating building our own keyboard. Would rather not though...
