Event for voice recording feedback?

Hey guys, I've been looking all over the questions and projects, but i'm not able to find some kind of example of a feedback for the user's voice being recorded.

I'm trying to change my cursor to a little microphone when the user's is saying something.

The closest thing I found Is using DictationRecognizer events (DictationHypothesis, DictationComplete), but it doesn't seem to work. Is it even possible to get that kind of event?
Or Hololens just records all audio until it triggers a event?
