Text To Speech - foreign language?

I'm using the text to speech class in the holotool kit. It works great!

Can you get different voices and languages built in somehow?

Are there examples I can see? Additional plugins ?

    I'm also looking to get a different language (French) to work on Hololens. Have you found a way since then ?

    Re: cognitive services, I've seen the API and played around with it on the PC. But does the HoloLens have a mic API that can easily detect when there is audible speech and extract the samples, so that one does need start/stop record controls?

    Or does this have to be done manually? I'd like to be able to detect when a user has spoken and truncate the audio clip automatically.
