Holograms 101 - Chapter 6 - Spatial Mapping

Good afternoon,

I have downloaded the last and most updated Origami project but I have an error when I add the Spatial Mapping on step 6.

It builds and deploys without any problems to the HoloLens device, but when the App starts running, the Origami object is gone and all I can see is the wiring of the spatial mapping. Does anybody have an idea of what might be happening?

Thanks.

  • Hello Patrick,

Yes, that was it. I moved to a "cleaner" room and problem solved. I am running on the actual device, by the way.

    Thank you.

  • I had the same problem. Turns out the newest unity project files uses spatial mapping manager and observer scripts instead of on the prefab "spatial mapping". Step six is looking for that prefab to have a script/class called spatial mapping. I copied over the cs script called "spatial mapping" from the old origami project into and attached it to the prefab. After that everything works fine. Though the manager and observer become redundant once you do this. The tap to place script will start working once it sees this class though.
