Importing 3d assets into Unity

I am importing a 3d Animated Asset from the Unity Asset Store. I import into my project and when I run the project on the HoloLens and run gaze over it the cursor doesn't change. The object just sits there.

I then created a sphere from Create 3d Objects and everything seems to work. The question is why is the 3d Asset that I imported not working with cursor etc.

That was it- I needed to add an collider and then it worked. Strange how the documentation doesn't mention that - but you need to drift through the code. Model is interactive now, just need to get it to do something when selected. Any ideas?
