Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Remix3D and Hololens

Every demo I have seen Microsoft do with paint3d, the creator's update, and HoloLens shows the HoloLens user being able to pull the 3d object created with paint3d into his or her space through remix3d. Has anyone figured out how to get this to work? All I can do is grab the flat 3d object on the website and rotate it.

Do you mean how do you open the fbx file that you created with paint3d?

In Microsoft demos, a user on a surface pro creates an fbx file in paint 3d. Another user with a HoloLens is then able to open remix3d and drag that object from the Remix3D page into his space and view/manipulate it. I know you can use a viewer to open the 3d object - but in the demos, the HoloLens user is not launching another application.

The other issue is if you go to remix3d in edge, there is NO OPTION to download, only to upload on HoloLens even though these instructions ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13766/hololens-using-3d-viewer-on-hololens ) specifically state you should be able to download from the website in edge on HoloLens.
