Change GUI element position according to user

Hi,
I have some user interface elements and I want to see them constantly. Not only if I look at one position, but I want to see them even if a turn my head to watch another point of the room or walking around a building. How to do that? Working examples? Thanks

  • Hi,

In the Canvas Inspector you can set the "Render Mode" to "Screen Space - Camera" and add the HoloLens Camera to the "Render Camera". You can add your buttons on this canvas. But, this won't be useful since you cannot select any of the buttons used for User-Interface elements. For example, if the button is not always in front of you i.e, say it is always in the top-right corner of the user's vision, the button won't be hit by the Raycast (unless it is always in front of the user) because it will be moving with your head and consequently you cannot perform any operations with it.

Anyways I have attached a screenshot of the inspector for better understanding

    Hope this helps,
    Pranav
