Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Sociologists looking for devs working on MR in manufacturing, logistics

Hi all,

I'm part of a team of sociologists from the University of Hohenheim (near Stuttgart, Germany), researching the use of wearables in logistics and manufacturing.

We're particularly interested how these wearables change work for operators.

I'm especially intrigued by mixed reality uses, which seem to open up a lot more use cases and require a lot deeper innovation than plain AR "smart glasses".

However, it's been a little hard for me to ascertain the technical capabilities of HoloLens and MR at this stage amidst the hype, and to find actual use cases among all the mock-ups, proofs of concept, etc.

Is there anyone here from Microsoft or the dev community who'd be willing to talk to us?

Reply here or Email me at maximilian.held@uni-hohenheim.de. More info at http://www.maxheld.de.

Thanks!
