Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

the 3d model in hololens is floating and not fixed compare to the real object

I have a real object, and also the same size of model of the object, and build the model into Hololens app. and now I try to put the virtual model to the same position of the real object, I carefully put the virtual object from two orthogonal viewer to match the real object, but found the 3D model is floating, and shaking when I change my view angle / position.

does any body know how to handle the probem?

There is no solution to this. You will always have some "shaking" of your model because the tracking of the hololens is not perfect.

PS: Try attaching a WorldAnchor to your object

I have attached a WorldAnchor to the object, but the problem is still the same :-(

Its just not possible that your object stays perfectly in place. You will always have inaccuracy in a range of some cm.
