Getting an exception when binding a datagram socket.

I am getting an exception when I try to bind my datagram socket to my local host address.

public class UDPServer : MonoBehaviour { public string ServerIP = "127.0.0.1";

if !UNITY_EDITOR

 DatagramSocket socket;

endif

if !UNITY_EDITOR

 async void start()
 {
      HostName networkHost = new HostName(ServerIP.Trim());
      socket = new DatagramSocket();
      socket.MessageReceived += Socket_MessageReceieved;
      try{
            await socket.BindEndpointAsync(networkHost, "8000");
      }
     catch (Exception e) {}
 }

endif

if !UNITY_EDITOR

 private async void Socket_MessageReceived(Windows.Networking.Sockets.DatagramSocket sender, Windows.Networking.Sockets.DatagramSocketMessageReceivedEventArgs args) {...}

endif

}

I am getting "The requested address is not valid in its context. Does anyone know how to fix this?
