Acer headset not supporting Audio/mic

I just updated to the most recent build and the Acer headset jack no longer works with Audio and Mic. It used to work, but now I am getting an error that I should plug it into USB 2.0 for the driver to work. When I do this then the headset no longer functions as a VR headset.

Any ideas on why the Acer audio/mic drivers want to be plugged into USB 2 and won't work with USB 3? I have updated all drivers, so not sure what is changed/broken. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
