Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Daft Punk - Official Musical Anthem for HoloLens Development?

...All in favor say, I. Seem more productive today with a bit of electronic beat.

"Technologic," went well with creating voice commands for my app..)

Microsoft Marketing...I'm thinking holo-music-video when you are ready to go to consumers? (Sans the scary-looking robot baby?) Assume having VR is an early adopter tell that you can sell AR to the same consumer until they merge in the not-too distant future. (U2 and Muse have interesting VR releases so far...think one video format that is easily adaptable to VR.)

Should be interesting when I see soon the reaction to the aesthetics/fashion/style/coolness element from the non-nerds, versus Google Glass, albeit I don't plan to be walking around town with my HoloLens. (e.g. just showing people at our house parties etc.)

But I think as fashion, making future HoloLenses customizable aesthetically like any pair of glasses will help with consumer reach.. Interesting to see the demographics of the follow-on adopters once it's not $3K and limited to devs.

Here's what I'm listening to, if you want to check out some new music: https://open.spotify.com/user/willnajar/playlist/4XYDvHFjc52W24SBJwXnR1

I don't think you can generalize a big group of people with only one genre of music. One thing that I hope HoloLens does in the future is appeal to a broad range of people. That means nerds, your parents, non-technical people, kids, artists, athletes, anything. I've demoed to a lot of people with all sorts of perspectives and backgrounds. Enjoyment of the device was surprisingly more universal than I would have guessed. I think we can help adoption by being inclusive and celebrating all kinds of apps/interests/arts styles/music/whatever. I'm worried that if marketing materials are too techy or too x then it will limit who thinks they will enjoy HoloLens.

I am a former lion tamer and an avid collector of butterflies.
