Hello everyone.

The Mixed Reality Forums here are no longer being used or maintained.

There are a few other places we would like to direct you to for support, both from Microsoft and from the community.

The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.

For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.

If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.

And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

The cake is a lie - Kiosk Mode is too?

We have been trying out Kiosk mode on our Enterprise Edition HoloLenses.
When we enable it in Device Portal and restart with our app, the HL reboots and successfully starts the selected app and everything works fine (at least most of the time). Then we press the standby button to turn the device off...and the fun begins.
When you turn it on again, you will have to wait for a minute with nothing happening. If you are lucky you might get back in the app, but most of the time, you will be left with a white cursor and no way of getting out of this situation, since you cannot bloom anymore...
This happens not only in our own apps, but apps downloaded from the Windows Store as well.
Luckily we were still connected to Device Portal to disable Kiosk Mode again...but this can't be the way this is supposed to work, or can it?
