Do a new scan or update scan after Spatial Understanding is completed?

I am working on an app that basically you press a button and spatial understanding begins relatively simple and when you are done you click finish. I was wondering because I haven't been able to find much of anything on it but, is there a way to update the mesh after the RequestFinishScan method has been called or start over and get rid of the mesh completely and start over?

I found this thread where one of the users say that it may be possible but, do not go into detail about it. But since it is an old thread I figured I'd ask a new question.
