The first way we want to connect with you is our mixed reality developer program, which you can sign up for at https://aka.ms/IWantMR.
For technical questions, please use Stack Overflow, and tag your questions using either hololens or windows-mixed-reality.
If you want to join in discussions, please do so in the HoloDevelopers Slack, which you can join by going to https://aka.ms/holodevelopers, or in our Microsoft Tech Communities forums at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/mixed-reality/ct-p/MicrosoftMixedReality.
And always feel free to hit us up on Twitter @MxdRealityDev.

Parsing Bytes
I'm reading a stream of bytes, and am now trying to parse them into usable doubles and floats on the Hololens. Does anyone know any good methods for this? I'm guessing the best way is to use Stream.ReadAsync(), but was curious if anyone had any good alternatives.

That's the most straightforward way to read a data stream. The HoloLens sharing module uses a NeworkInMessage class, but it sounds like you are getting your stream from somewhere else. You might want to add extension methods like ReadFloat and ReadDouble for convenience, like the binary streamreader has.

Sounds like StreamReader may be the better option then.
