How to keep power on but visual processing off

I have my hololens configured to stay on the entire time its plugged in. (which works) but, the visual processors, screen and sound stay active. How can I shut those features off, but still keep up the API?

I.e. I'm setting up many HoloLens for an attraction. I want a central screen to report what the battery levels are at for each device. But when I have the device on so it can report this, it uses so much electricity that it never charges. Any thoughts?
