Building experience with GPS and located holograms ?

Hi everyone,

I am looking forward to use Hololens to develop an immersive experience I have in mind since few years, I am just wondering if Hololens can really do what I want.

Unlike what Hololens is made for, I'd like to display holograms based on their location. For example, if I place an hologram at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower with GPS coordinates, I'd like to see it if I go there with my Hololens.

I know that Hololens doesn't embbed any GPS, but I also know that I can build one using Raspberry / Arduino or Android phone. Then my question: is Hololens capable of being used like a camera in a giant 3D scene of dozens of km2?

Thanks for helping, I didn't have the opportunity to try one yet, and before buying one I prefer to be sure that it can do what I want.
