Hololens Limitations?
Hey guys, I was exploring looking into the HoloLens capabilities and ran into two limitations that peaked my curiosity
HoloLens has 64gb of memory (53ish for general use) but it seems there an app limit of 900mb ? Is there a way to tell the hololens to ignore this limit or was it explained somewhere as to why it has such a limit?
the record feature only records for 5 minutes, does anyone know the reason? I thought the 900mb size but upon inspection it video was only 287mb. Also does anyone know if this limitation be adjusted?
Thank you for your time.

64GB is the amount of flash 2GB is the amount of RAM. So 900MB is a hard limit for memory allocation. In my experience as soon as you are over 850MB you start to run the risk of app crashes - as the GC can lag a bit.

Following on from OH comment, what is the actual recording time on the HL?
@Baba I tested it yesterday and it automatically stops at 5 minutes and it saves the save which is approximately 289mb in size
